It is with great pleasure that I am able to reveal to you all a change for UTVRR that was going to be used for the 2012 season but I felt it's something we can use right away. It will help the series grow and gives an expansion to the race officials.
The first position is that of Technical Director.
1fasviper will be the new technical director for UTVRR he will oversee tech inspections and will help the series to ensure all vehicles clear tech inspection and will be conducting tech inspection himself.
The second position is Tech Inspector for Safety.
This position will be filled by Kilowatt. Kilowatt will be present at tech inspections to ensure all safety standard are met with the vehicles and drivers. He will be checking for the proper clothing as well as vehicle safety apparatus.
We are in good hands here with both fellow racers and they come with a pedigree to be able to fill these roles completely and have my complete support.
Chip, 1fasviper fills the roll of technical director due to his capacity as a federal inspector in his day job, he has also held a tech inspector role at another high powered series he used to race in.
Ken, Kilowatt has always been the voice of reason to me both on the phone and on the forum and has always considered safety paramount.
For the series to grow with the changes coming in 2012 it is important to build a team of race officials that can be present when needed and that have the power to make decision. Both of these people are well suited to the role and will enhance UTVRR for the rest of this season and the next.
Please join me in welcoming these two drivers that have now become part of the race official staff of UTVRR.
Thanks Ken and Chip we need you guys and I am very grateful you offered to fill these roles for us.
More exciting news for the UTVRR 2012 season as I am able to release it. I can tell you that the current drivers board is already hard at work on your behalf to ensure that changes made to UTVRR have the voice of racers and we are really working hard on some ideas for 2012 that will take this series onto bigger better things,
