Thread: Greetings from the Racing Dreamz Foundation

Hello everyone. My name is Ben Jones. Last year, my wife, Donna, and I created the non profit organization called Racing Dreamz. Our mission is to help disaffected and disadvantaged kids get into kart racing as a means to give them a better path and outlook towards life. Starting from scratch, we've come a long way in getting recognized and learning quite a bit. We will be filing for our 501(c)3 tax exempt status this month. The State of Tenn has recognized us as a charitable organization. As soon as we get our 501c3 back from the IRS, we have a small grant waiting for us to get officially started.
Enough of the legal stuff. Now on to the fun part. At first we were considering building our own racing buggys for the kids and trying to organize and build our own racing series. But it seems the cost to build them will be quite high. So, after some research, we found the RzR 170 and the imported 150 SxS's. I read on here that I-81 and Victory Motorsports were looking into establishing a racing SxS series. Will there be a class for the youngsters? Our kids(kids enrolled) ranged from ages 6 to 16. Currently we have 4 kids. We(RD Board) were hoping that we could get involved in the local UTV series. Any and all information and help would greatly be appreciated. We hope to be able to purchase the UTV's and load them up by middle spring. Thanks and hope to learn alot here.

I don't know about that but I can tell you that I have been considering a kids class for UTVRR. I have spoken to the park about it also. It seems both myself and the park are game if we can get enough entrants.
