Hi all, we have been asked by Mudders Magazine to do a piece on a trip to Doc Hilt Trails in Lineville AL. The dates I have proposed are 21 - 22 August. Let's try and give them a good turn out, you never know, you may just see yourself in print! There will also be a night ride. The weather should be nice so it's time to get out and ride!
You can check out their website and in our "places to ride directory" as well as our supporting ORV section.
Post here if you can make it,

The night ride will be on the Saturday night, probably around 8pm I would have thought. Hopefully we will have a good turn out, hopefully enough of us will go and I know the owner is promoting the ride at his park so it should be a good time.

Hi guys, I had a call with the owner of Doc Hilt Trails today and we are set for some real fun.
Our night ride will be us, it will not be guided, he told me just to get out there and have fun, this is great news, it will be a blast.
Also as this is a new place the owner has told me that we can go anywhere we like! on or off trail and if we find something cool to mark it or if we find something that is off trail that makes a cool new trail we are to let him know and he will make a trail out of it.
We can be true trail blazers and the land owners are all about it! This ride could be totally awesome and unique.
They will allow tent camping anywhere on the property and RV's in the car parks, as yet they don't have any RV hookups but they will be there next spring.
As well as the "trail blazing" we can also scope out the new race track for the rounds of the "UTV Rally Raid" they will be hosting. The land owner has told me he has been, and will be promoting our ride down there and hopes he will have some more UTV riders join us once we are there.
So who's coming?
So far we have;

A word of caution from the owner, me... I don't suggest trail blazing at night! Too many hazards (like old barbed wire fencing) and pitfalls (some of the hills better resemble cliffs). I have blasted my email list that SoutheastSxS is holding a SxS and UTV Rally. A couple have already replied to the affirmative in less than 24 hrs. There are numerous RZR owners that live close to the trails that may come... they just drive to the park in their machines, no trailers needed. You guys should hook up anyway. Feel free to call me with any questions.

Thanks Gannon, really looking forward to coming out there and trying some hill climbs and such.

Here are some videos I found on utube for Doc Hilt Trails.

I'm not sure I am doing this right... but here is the funniest vid at Doc Hilt to date. Kids, do not try this on your own, this guy is a pro... Pro Pun. And always remember, people that buy a $10 helmet have a $10 head.
