    RzR 570 LE Airbox Problems

I ran across this information about a faulty Airbox Tube. Not sure but I read somewhere that the 570 and 900XP use the same airbox setup. Anyways after only 15 miles of gravel rd I found some mud and water on my filter in the airbox. You can read about the problem here.

2013 RZR 570 Intake (fix) Mod - Polaris RZR Forum - RZR Forums.net

I did the mod today. Took all of 30 minutes and about $15 in parts.

Got the PVC Pipe to do this mod. The first picture is the Polaris Factory Supplied tube and the New Tube. Followed the cutting directions and they were on the money. The only thing I noticed is that on my 570 LE the 45 degree hits the frame rail above it and it was a tight squeeze. I only had 15 miles on it and there was residue on the filter and a small amount of water in old tube passage way. I was lucky to do this now.

Here is close up of the Polaris Factory Tube. Notice the piece of Silicone Residue on the floor. That is what they had to seal the end nearest the outboard side. Sketchy!

I have passed this information on to my dealer who is a good friend of mine. He said that they already had to replace one engine over this.

Noticed today while unhooking rear Sway bars a rubber tube to let water out of something. I am not sure but I don't see how water can settle in this area above the drivers rear tire.

Here is my build story. Got the J-Strong Top, Polaris Flip Out, Pro Armour Doors, Factory UTV Skids and the Ride-n-Lock box.......

The Rhino is gone. It had a hard life and hopefully it will find a restful place to live out the rest of it's years. Maybe on someone's farm going to check on the cattle. I went to Ritchies today to see Uncle Tim. I called Abernathy's and they were only $34 difference in the machine from Ritchies. I have to say, when I got there Laci was very attentive and Robbie the tech was just finishing the roof install. Robbie was very informative about the Roof and Stereo which is the J-Strong Roof. After discussing the machine for a few minutes and getting some pointers from Robbie, Laci took my picture out back. Off with the Rhino and on with the RzR. I had to hurry back because my wife had called and locked herself out of the house and the worse part is she had the lunch inside that was going to the Church Construction site to serve the men. Now I had to hurry home from Athen's so those poor guys would not go hungry. She makes a mean Lasagna.

So here is the start to my wrenching. I bought the 570 LE because I said I would never have another machine without the things I wanted. I will be making a trip out west this summer and wanted something I could trust. The wife surprisingly agreed with me when I was asking her permission to buy this machine. I choose the LE because of the extra features over the base model. Power Steering, Engine Braking, Turf Mode, Nicer Wheels, Glove Box. I also bought the J-Strong top because I like to listen to my tunes and really never was satisfied with my home made Rhino Stereo. I got the Polaris Flip Out Windshield, Pro-Armor Doors, Ride-n-Lock Box and the Factory UTV Skids and Sliders. The skids are not here yet. I did bring home the Windshield and Doors to install myself.

Lucky for me my parents are on vacation so I have garage to use. I started with the doors first. I stripped the seats out and got started.

Now the instructions are little confusing to me, but I managed to get one side completed. The Driver's side. It is a perfect fit or so it seems to be. Now the passenger side is a little different. I am not sure why it won't align but it seems to be in a bind. The slam latch is tight and it springs open. Kinda of made me especially nervous since I am still recovering from the Ratchet strap explosion to my hand. I watched a youtube video and the dude said to remove the bar next to your shoulder. That upper nut on that bar is touching the door frame. I not sure that is the problem. I will try jacking it up tomorrow. Here is a picture of the bar I am talking about. It is the one in the picture next to the door frame that would be next to your shoulder sitting in the seat. Bolts up high and down low near floor.

Here is a finished drivers side door. You think it needs some Graphics?

Now I cannot say enough good about the J-Strong top. The radio surprised me because it must be a newer model. It has a USB Drive port in the front so now I can leave the Ipod at home. Just load the MP3's on the FlashDrive, stick it in the slot and the radio does the rest. Here is a picture of the radio setup.
